I confidently thought she got the order correctly and drove my happy ass to the window. She handed mine and my husbands order and we were off. Ready to take on the day.
Mine was a bit more complex, but fear not it was an order that a 5 year old could comprehend after some explanation. I ordered a medium macchiato but with blueberry instead of caramel. As I spoke to the lady on the drive through box I said my order and was followed by a long, silent pause. After about 10 seconds, she comes back with “.... a caramel macchiato?” “No” I said. “Blueberry”. Another pause. “....a macchiato with no sugar?”. “No” I said.. again. “A... medium...blueberry...macchiato...with..the normal stuff you put in it, just with blueberry “. “...oh.. okay.” Said the lady.
As I arrived to the shop I took the biggest sip of coffee anyone could ever take, and was greeted with the most bitter, gross and non-blueberry coffee I’ve ever had. It was terrible and now my day is going to be filled with straight sadness. God damn ItZ
This place is generally packed in the day, but at night it's a cozy get away and relaxing spot to spend with friends. Wait time isn't long. Very nice staff. The view isn't much because it's in the middle of a military installation. But it has very good coffee and tea and sandwiches.
It started at 04:45 when I emerged from the nest I call a bed. Hair in my face, yesterday’s pt skivvies were still on (sort of smelling like a swamp) and crustys that almost glued my eyes shut. As I sort of rolled/fell out of said nest I looked over at my husband and spoke only one, beautiful word..”coffee”. He nodded and like the worlds best husband that he is, he immediately double timed over to the coffee pot, coffee grounds and creamer ready when suddenly a loud spark noise was set off and the white, surrendering smoke flowed out of our beloved magic juice maker. Eyes wide and mouth open, we looked at each other in shock. We decided that although we had lost a great hero, we still had to move on. So we headed off to good ol dunkins.
We pulled up to this magical wonderland of coffee and doughnuts all giddy and ready for the miracle of the sweet nectar that cures even the most horrible case of morning sleepys. We pull into the drive though and began to order. My husbands Order was simple- a large coffee with 3 creams and 3 sugars. Simple right? Well... I’ll get back to that.
Service is at the speed of smell. I really only come here to skate and always have to bribe my ncos to go here. But the wait is ridiculous. Staff is always mumbled and angry.
Usually Duncan doughnuts is great and all but boy oh boy did I have an adventure today.
Often overwhelmed by the sheer number of Marines attempting to utilize the drive through. While the coffee and donuts are good, the food is low-quality frozen fast food fare, which should be expected.
Consistently slow and the food is sub-par. There is never enough staff to handle the amount of people that come through the establishment. Typically on has one cashier open which doesn't help.
