I have been dealing with military healthcare since 1995. My advice is be very patient, explain every detail of what is wrong with you up front, and be calm and collective. Most of all BE VERY PATIENT. You know yourself and what is wrong with you better than anyone so communicate that effectively. Overall me and my family are alive and been dealing with this hospital for 22 years. Guess I can't complain much.
Understaffed and not the hospitals fault. Blame government cutbacks. They do the best with what they have.
WARNING! IF YOU ARE PREGNANT, PLEASE BEWARE!
I give 2 stars because the really good, competent doctor saved our lives and there really were some amazing staff (nurses) there.
I had staff talk negatively about my mother, anesthesiologists disagreed and argued in front of me and another staff tell me that I needed to change my own bed linens after I was temporarily incontinent from the traumatic delivery.
Understanding the military health system is complex and you have to be extremely patient. As with any government agency you have to weed thru the lower levels to get to the truly experienced people that can help you. A lot of workers are contracted making 10-12 dollars an hour so I don't think the best experience is there. Warm bodies filling chairs and line numbers somewhat.
There are rude, incompetent staff. I had 2 doctors delivering my baby. One was incompetent and the other was competent and I thank God he was there to save my baby! The incompetent one couldn't get my baby out (he was big and got stuck) and my baby was blue, she tried for a minute, the other doctor shoved her out of the way to get him out. I AM CONVINCED THAT IF HE HAD NOT BEEN THERE THAT DAY, MY BABY WOULD HAVE DIED. I CRY thinking about it and wonder if other babies have died at her hands. I hope this review saves lives. She should not be allowed to practice medicine!
I had surgery last week. I just want to say how fabulous, caring, concerned, & compassionate, the staff on the second floor was. From checking in to the nurses that took care of me! And of course my Doctor that preformed my surgery THANK YOU!! I also cannot forget Bob my anesthesiologist!! He was AWESOME!! He made me feel at ease. I was SO nervous but his thoughtful words made it all better. One thing I do remember Bob telling me was " I need you to do one thing for us" I said sleep. " He said well, yes" BUT " I need you to trust us". At that point I knew I was in good hands!! Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart!! GOD BLESS❤
One of the worst customer services. Frankly speaking, if you have no patience look for services elsewhere. It will worth the time and money spent. In the ER section, be ready to spend hours waiting for feedback from the medical personnel.
If you are pregnant DO NOT go to the OB Clinic here. Switch to standard and get seen off base. Currently pregnant, currently being seen here, the experience has been horrible. I will never recommend this place. You don't get to choose whether you're seen by an OB or a Midwife, you don't even see the same OB or Midwife, it's a different one at each appointment. You have to wait a month and a half in between each appointment, and then spend not even 15 minutes talking to the provider, they will rush you out of the room. If you have an issue that's not an emergency and would like to be seen by the OB Clinic, you simply cannot because there's no availability, instead they will send you to the ER where the staff is visibly inconvenienced by your non-emergency visit and where you will wait 3+ hours for results for a urine test and then 1+ hours in the pharmacy getting medicine. Each and every time I've had a concern it has been brushed off, and I truly feel that they simply don't care about the well-being of my unborn child. Go. Somewhere. Else.
